Alternative Sentencing Program

Home > Programs & Services > Alternative Sentencing Program

Last year, ASP coordinated community service, monitoring and youth programs for nearly 12,700 court referred clients.

Alternative Sentencing works with the courts throughout Riverside County. When an individual is sentenced to community service, domestic violence counseling or anger management, ASP places them in a community service or counseling program. By utilizing the Alternative Sentencing program, clients are ensured safe, monitored and pre-approved community sentence locations and agencies. Additionally, clients have complete and certified documentation of community service work done, which is sent directly to the Court and Probation. By helping court-referred clients not end up in jail, ASP provides high cost savings to tax payers. Alternative Sentencing is proud to provide evidence-based and effective services that benefit clients and the community at large. ASP also offers alcohol and drug educational programs for adults and youth.
