Mission
Our mission is to connect people in need, with those who can help. Since 1966 Community Connect has been creating safe and healthy communities with an emphasis on providing services and referrals to the truly needy.
Impact
Community Connect has a wide impact on Riverside County, serving all areas in a variety of capacities including: rental assistance, housing, transportation, professional and self development, counseling, senior services and so much more.
In the past year, Community Connect:
- Served more than 108,000 individuals throughout Riverside County
- Provided hundreds of nonprofits with additional development and skill building opportunities through educational workshops, forums and networking events
- Coordinated community service, monitoring and youth programs for nearly 12,700 court referred clients
- Referred 76,911 residents to agencies for various critical needs such as food, medical care and shelter
- Responded to a 20 percent increase in requests for assistance through 211 Riverside County
- Recognized volunteer heroes throughout Riverside County at the Annual Volunteer Hero Awards & Banquet
- Answered more than 8,000 crisis/suicide prevention calls
- Succeeded in helping 97 percent of youth that attended our drug and alcohol prevention programs to not reoffend
- Safeguarded the elderly with more than 7,500 visits to skilled nursing facilities
- Coordinated an annual Celebration of Children event for the local community
- Distributed bus tickets to 10,898 individuals who have no other transportation option, helping them do anything from getting to a job interview or going to the grocery store
- Assisted 380 individuals with housing placement
- Coordinated the distribution of nearly 1,000 Christmas Baskets to the needy
